The seminar intends to present the results of the R&D Project AMICO "Advanced Monitoring and Intelligent Control", in which it was conceived, developed and experimented an optical multi-camera measuring system for contact-less measurement of the pose (position and attitude, corresponding to 6 degrees of freedom) of a set of movable bodies within a predefined camera field of view. The system concept has been specifically oriented to monitoring and intelligent & flexible control of the operating space of industrial robots, machine tools and production processes.
The main project objective has been to demonstrate, through the prototype development and on-field experimentation, the feasibility of a measuring system having the following characteristics and performance:
Program
AMICO has been developed by a Consortium of 6 Partners members of MESAP, composed by 2 small enterprises (EICAS Automazione and Actuation and Control technologies), 3 research organisations (Politecnico di Torino, Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica e Istituto Superiore Mario Boella) e 1 large enterprise (Fidia). AMICO is a project partially funded within the "Programma Operativo Regionale Competitivitá regionale e occupazione F.E.S.R 2007/2013".
